Nicolas Maray

After taking part in the drawing, painting, photography and sculpture workshops at the Beaux-Arts, Nicolas Maray initially chose photography as the most obvious way to translate his gaze, the most natural expression of his emotions, firmly in time.

But the photographic format limits them within a framework that, in his opinion, should be reduced. Painting then becomes a necessity that offers him a larger and more adapted space for the realization of a work that finds its full dimension and that he transmits with amplitude, where time and man's work mix and as a mirror of our own life shine through.
