Martin Gärtner
... discovered his passion for painting about twenty years ago. His works now include several pictures with different motifs.
He describes his art as real, modern and detailed, always with a special touch of personal connection. The artist is characterized by a passion for contemporary art and modernity.
Born as half-Spanish in 1965 in Baden-Baden, grew up in Rotkreuz (Switzerland) and in Madrid (Spain), he now lives in Schwäbisch Hall (Germany).
He had the idea of automated, robot-assisted painting as early as 2008. The background was his engineering studies in the field of automation technology and his many years of experience in mechanical engineering and image processing.
This led to a vision and he never let go of making his unique idea come true. The development took almost ten years. The excitement between technology and art is what drives him.
Today he paints pictures with the help of his robot “Hubertus” and at the end gives his works his manual finishing touches.
Because of his love for Mallorca, he is currently working on his series “Underwater series about his love for Mallorca”.
